Polylang connects language versions of the same post or page through translation relationships. Confirm these relationships so each translated item is associated with the intended original content.
Check a translation relationship
- Open Posts or Pages in the WordPress dashboard and edit an item that has, or should have, a translation.
- Confirm the language assigned to the original item in the Polylang language controls.
- Use Polylang’s translation controls to open an existing translation or create the translation for the required target language.
- Confirm that the translated item is connected to the correct original item and language.
- Repeat the check for the language versions used in your TranslateSense workflow.
Before translating with TranslateSense
- Confirm the original post or page contains the content you intend to translate.
- Verify the original item’s language in Polylang.
- Verify that the intended target language is configured and that the translated item is associated correctly.
- Do not assume that an empty target-language post is the source of the text to translate.
The exact controls for creating and linking translations are provided by Polylang and may vary with its version and configuration. Use the language and translation controls shown in your WordPress editor.
