The Post Type control chooses which WordPress content supplies the cards in Post Flipbox. The selector is populated from supported public post types; attachments and Elementor library items are excluded by the plugin.
Choose a post type
- Go to WordPress dashboard → Pages → All Pages, open the target page, and click Edit with Elementor.
- Select the Post Flipbox widget on the canvas.
- Open Content → Post Settings and locate Post Type.
- Choose the content source, such as Posts or another public post type available in the selector. The default source is post.
- If the selected type has registered taxonomies, use the corresponding taxonomy dropdowns in Post Settings to choose terms. These dropdowns are generated for the selected post type.
- Preview the cards and confirm that the displayed records match the selected source and filters.
Understand taxonomy filters
A taxonomy groups content, for example by category or tag. Each available dropdown uses the registered taxonomy label and lists its terms. Leaving a dropdown on its default “Select …” option does not add a term filter. When you select terms in multiple taxonomy dropdowns, the plugin combines the query conditions with an AND relationship, so a post must match all selected conditions.
Troubleshoot missing cards
- Confirm that the expected posts are published.
- Check that the chosen post type is correct.
- Remove taxonomy selections one at a time to find a filter that excludes the expected posts.
- In Content → Post Settings, also review Show Post and Order.
For item count and ordering, continue to Configure the Post Query. For the full widget workflow, see Display WordPress Posts in Flipboxes.
