Story Flipbox Collections

Explore Story Flipbox Collections in Elementor: create manual cards, edit each item's Front, Back, and Style tabs, and configure vertical or horizontal layouts.

The Story Flipbox widget in Flipbox Addon for Elementor creates a manually curated set of flip cards. Each card is an item in the Flipbox Items repeater, with separate Front, Back, and Style tabs. This section explains how to create the collection, edit individual items, and configure its layout using plugin version 2.1.7.

Create and edit Story Flipbox items

Use these guides to build the collection. Story Flipbox content is entered manually in Elementor; it does not query WordPress posts like the Post Flipbox widget.

Find the main controls

  1. In WordPress, go to Pages → All Pages and open the page you want to edit.
  2. Click Edit with Elementor and add or select the Story Flipbox widget.
  3. Under Content → Flipbox Items, expand an item to edit its Front, Back, or Style tab.
  4. Open Content → Layout Settings to choose the overall layout and animation.
  5. Use the widget’s Style sections, including Container Box Settings, Title Style, Description Style, Icon Style, Button Style, and Slider Navigation, for the overall appearance.

Know the important defaults

In the widget’s repeater field definitions, Enable Back defaults to on, the front-side Enable Button defaults to off, and the back-side Enable Button defaults to on. The widget also loads example items, and those sample items can override individual repeater defaults. Review each existing item before publishing instead of assuming every sample card has identical settings.

Layout Orientation defaults to Vertical, Select Preset defaults to Default, Title Tag defaults to H2, and Animation Type defaults to 3D Flip. A preset can overwrite current settings, so check the warning before applying a different preset.

Save and verify the collection

  1. Review the title, description, icon type, back-side visibility, and buttons for each item.
  2. Choose the layout and animation, then check desktop, tablet, and mobile settings.
  3. Click Elementor’s Update button.
  4. Preview the saved page and test card order, front/back interaction, button destinations, and any horizontal slider arrows or pagination.

For dynamic content sourced from published WordPress posts, use Post Flipbox and Dynamic Content instead.
