Configure Dynamic Ticket Form Fields

Configure category-driven ticket form dropdowns by enabling and ordering built-in or custom taxonomy fields in Dragwyb Support Center.

Dragwyb’s dynamic ticket form fields are taxonomy-driven dropdowns. The primary ticket category determines which supported sub-taxonomies—such as Products, Tags, or configured custom taxonomies—appear on the customer-facing form and the order in which they are displayed.

Review the available taxonomies

  1. Open Support Center → Taxonomies.
  2. Review the taxonomy tabs. The built-in categories and tags are available alongside Products and any configured custom taxonomies.
  3. For a new classification field, click Add Taxonomy, enter its name and other available taxonomy details, then save it.
  4. Select the relevant taxonomy and add or manage its terms so the form has values to display.

These controls configure classification dropdowns; this is not a general-purpose form-field editor for arbitrary text, number, or file-upload fields.

Choose the fields for a ticket category

  1. In Support Center → Taxonomies, select the primary Categories tab.
  2. Add a category or edit the category that should control the form.
  3. Find Support Form Dynamic Sub-Field Taxonomies.
  4. Enable the sub-taxonomies that should appear when the customer selects this category. Built-in options include Products and Tags; configured custom taxonomies can also be selected.
  5. Drag enabled rows or use the arrow controls to set their display order.
  6. Save the category, then reopen it to confirm the chosen sub-taxonomies and order.

Customize the displayed labels

Open Support Center → Portal to configure customer-facing portal text. The portal customizer includes the category label and labels for registered taxonomies, so you can present the dropdowns with wording appropriate for your customers.

Test category-dependent fields

  1. Open the published customer support portal or ticket form.
  2. Start a test ticket and select the category you edited.
  3. Confirm that the enabled sub-taxonomy dropdowns appear and follow the configured order.
  4. Choose values and submit the test ticket, then inspect the saved ticket classification in Support Center → Tickets.
  5. Repeat with another category to verify that its field selection is different when configured that way.

For category priority and sub-field configuration, see Configure Ticket Categories. To configure agent specialization against these classifications, see Assign Tickets to Support Agents.
