Publish the customer-facing Support Center by placing [dctc_support_portal] on a WordPress page. The portal brings together ticket submission, the customer’s ticket list, ticket details, and conversation actions supported by the installed plugin.
Create the support portal page
- Confirm the Support Center module is enabled in Click to Chat → Settings → 1. General.
- Create or edit the WordPress page you want to use as the support page.
- Add a Shortcode block and enter
[dctc_support_portal]. - Publish or update the page and open it on the frontend.
- Test ticket submission, ticket-list access, and conversation actions using the same customer login state intended for visitors.
Customize portal text and settings
Users with the required settings permission can open Support Center → Portal in WordPress admin to configure supported portal labels and presentation settings. Save the portal settings after making changes.
Guest ticket submission is controlled by the Support Portal’s guest-ticket setting. If guest submission is disabled, logged-out visitors may be prompted to log in rather than being shown a submission form. Review the site’s guest-access policy before publishing the page broadly.
What customers can do
- Start a new support request when the relevant submission option is available.
- Search and filter their ticket list where those controls are displayed.
- Open a ticket to review its conversation.
- Send a reply or close a ticket when the portal and ticket access rules permit it.
Verify the published page
- Open the page in a private browser window and also test with a customer account if your site uses customer login.
- Check that the portal appears and that its heading and controls match the configured settings.
- Submit a test ticket and verify it appears under Support Center → Tickets.
- Open the test ticket from the customer portal and confirm that the conversation actions work as expected.
