Review external messaging services used by Dragwyb Click to Chat by checking the contact channels you enable and the destinations they open. The information available to each destination depends on the selected channel and its settings; do not assume every channel behaves the same way.
Where to review channel settings
- In WordPress admin, open Click to Chat → Channels.
- Review the enabled channel cards and each channel’s destination or contact details.
- Review any default message or dynamic tags configured for a channel.
- Open the public-facing widget in a staging environment and inspect the destination before testing with real customer information.
Channels and information to check
- WhatsApp: The plugin supports dynamic
{title}and{url}tags in WhatsApp default greetings. If you use these tags, the page title and URL can be included in the prefilled message shown when the visitor opens WhatsApp. - Telegram, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn: Review the destination configured for each enabled channel and the profile or account it opens. The third-party service controls what happens after the visitor follows the link.
- Phone and SMS: Check the telephone number and any prefilled message supported by the configured link. The visitor’s device or messaging application handles the call or message after activation.
- Email: Check the destination email address and any prefilled subject or message supported by the channel configuration.
The channel widget provides contact links and launch actions. Do not describe a channel as automatically transmitting the entire AI conversation or support ticket unless a separate configured integration explicitly does that.
Privacy review checklist
- Disable channels that your site does not use.
- Confirm every destination belongs to the intended business account or contact.
- Review default greetings for personal information, order details, or internal information that should not be prefilled.
- If WhatsApp dynamic tags are enabled, check whether including the current page title and URL is appropriate for pages containing private or sensitive information.
- Test each enabled channel with non-sensitive sample data and confirm which application or website opens.
- Document the third-party services visitors may choose to use and link to their current privacy information in your own site disclosures where appropriate.
