You can install Smart Form Builder in either of two ways: search for it from your WordPress dashboard if it is available in the WordPress Plugin Directory, or upload the plugin ZIP file you received. The plugin package lists WordPress 5.9 or later and PHP 7.4 or later as requirements. Check your site’s environment before installing.
Method 1: Install from the WordPress Plugin Directory
- Sign in to your WordPress dashboard with an account that can install plugins.
- Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin.
- In the plugin search field, enter Smart Form Builder.
- If Smart Form Builder appears in the results, select Install Now next to it.
- Wait for WordPress to finish installing the plugin, then select Activate.
If the plugin does not appear in the search results, use the ZIP-file method below with the plugin package you have received.

Troubleshoot installation problems
- Plugin not found in search: confirm that the plugin is available in the WordPress Plugin Directory, or install it using the ZIP file provided to you.
- Invalid ZIP file: select the plugin’s ZIP archive, not an extracted folder or an unrelated package.
- Unsupported environment: check that your WordPress and PHP versions meet the requirements listed above.
- Upload or extraction error: check your hosting upload limits and available disk space, or ask your hosting provider to investigate the reported error.
After installation, make sure the plugin is activated. If you need help confirming activation and finding its dashboard tools, follow Activate Smart Form Builder.
