Use conditional logic to show or hide a field according to a visitor’s answers. Use Step Break fields when a form needs to be completed in separate pages. The guides below explain each task separately, including how to test the resulting form before publishing.
Conditional fields
- Configure Conditional Field Logic — set a field to show or hide when another field’s submitted value matches a condition.
- Validate Conditional Fields — check required fields and validation when a conditional field is visible or hidden.
Multi-step forms
- Build a Multi-Step Form — divide the form with Step Break fields and configure navigation labels and progress indicators.
- Validate Multi-Step Form Submissions — test step-level validation, navigation, and final submission.
Plan the form flow
Start with the questions visitors must answer, then decide which follow-up fields are only relevant for particular answers. For longer forms, group related questions into steps. Keep each condition and step purposeful, and test every expected answer path on the frontend rather than relying on the editor preview alone.
