Build a small form first, using only the fields needed for its purpose. This lets you review the field setup and saved configuration before adding more advanced behavior.
Build the form in the editor
- Open Smart Forms → Add Form.
- In the visual editor, give the form a clear title if the editor prompts you for one.
- Use the Fields area to add the inputs required for the task. For a basic contact form, this might include a name field, an email field, and a message field.
- Select each field to review its available settings. Set a useful label and enable required validation only for information you genuinely need.
- Open Form Settings when you need to review form-level options. Change only the settings relevant to this form.
- Select Save Form and wait for the editor to finish saving.
Review the saved form
Use the editor’s Preview action to inspect the form layout and check that its labels, field order, and required indicators are clear. If the result is not right, adjust the relevant fields and save again.
Refine field behavior
When you need to change field types, labels, widths, ordering, validation, or input formatting, use Fields and Editor Controls. Keep this first version simple until the core fields and their purpose are clear.
